An exhausted Team WCW was long asleep as the official recount continued until nearly 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

The team’s campaign manager Meghan Teuber managed to wake up presidential candidate Allison Williams, vice-president (operations) candidate Andrew Cameron and vice-president (university affairs) candidate Yanique Williams before the phone call came with news of the team’s loss.

After leaving the room to take the call, Teuber returned to a silent living room of about 15 campaigners and friends.

“When she came to the door [after the call], I was like ‘Oh, I know,” Yanique Williams said.

Earlier during the party, WCW ers seemed optimistic—dancing on a table to Hanson and Souljaboy and ing red cups around filled with a vodka-beer-lemonade concoction called “Northern Touch.”

Cameron said he thinks students were “generally receptive” to their campaign. He said campaigning helped to see how engaged students really are.

Allison Williams said she plans to pursue the academic diversification plans the team included in their platform.

“I think we need more academic diversity at Queen’s, whether it’s the certificate we talked about or some other form.”

Allison Williams was hesitant when asked to share her overall thoughts on her team’s campaign.

“I don’t know if we ran our campaign effectively,” she said. “I think our team was very careful. I almost think we ran our campaign with too much integrity.”
